After the final preview serivice on 3.28.10, which was another inspiring experience of sharing vision and passion, NVC will officially be going public on 4.4.10! This is so exciting for all involved…Â Easter seemed to be a fitting time for a public launch and we hope that you can make it to the celebration. Festivities will begin at 5pm at Glenfeliz Elementary School. Please contact us with any needs or questions.
It has been common for new church plants to advertise their public launch through the mediums of postcards and newspaper advertisments. After researching the effectiveness of these mediums, NVC decided to get outside the box. At the agape feast, the church was given an envelope with either 5, 10, or 20 dollars. Each person was then charged to go and serve the community in a creative fashion to make known the public launch of the church. We are excited to see how this creativity will be used by God to point people toward our vision of reconciliation.
We are anticipating our third and final preview service at Northland Village Church this Sunday at 5 pm at Glenfeliz Elementary School. The Palm Sunday gathering will be a perfect time for the launch team to expand as we head into our public launch on April 4. Coming off of the scrumptious Agape Feast, Northland Village Church will be back with the mama congregation this Sunday to have a final celebration before the public launch on April 4. NVC will be meeting at 10:30am at Glendale Presbyterian Church. There will be no worship on Sunday evening at 5pm at Glenfeliz Elementary.
Northland Village Church will be hosting our first Agape Feast. In short, an Agape Feast is a gigantic extension of the way that we typically celebrate communion. Picture feasting at the Lord’s Table for over an hour. Worship, prayers and God’s Story will also be intertwined within the evening. Northland Village will do the grilling, please bring a side to pass around. The Agape Feast will be from 5pm to 6:30 pm at Glenfeliz Elementary School.
