8.June.2014, #247, Pentecost

We did a medley of Spirit of the Living God + Holy Spirit + the "Holy Spirit, come" part of All Who Are Thirsty (in 4 rather than 6)

Then corporately read an adaption of a prayer from Cyril of Jerusalem (Palestinian bishop, circa 315-386)

May the very God of all,

who spoke by the Holy Spirit through the Prophets,

who sent the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles on the day of Pentecost in that place,

send the Spirit at this time also upon us;

and by that Spirit keep us, and impart this benefit in common to us all:

that we may become more Christ-like in our inner being;

that we may become more Christ-like in the way we interact with others;

that we may become more Christ-like in places where Christ’s character comes easy to us;

that we may become more Christ-like in places where we have little desire for Christ’s character;

by the same Christ,

through whom, together with the Holy Spirit,

be glory to the Father,

both now and ever. Amen.

Followed that with the chorus & bridge from Spirit Fall, and finished with the Doxology

I vouch for none of these videos, btw
