I found a newer tune in the Glory to God Presbyterian hymnal that had some compelling sentiments.  Not much by way of options for videos, but kudos to these peeps for their faithful & un-ironic rendition of the song.

God, be the love to search and keep me

God, be the pray’r to move my voice

God, be the strength to now uphold me

O Christ, surround me, O Christ, surround me

Walking behind to hem my journey

Going ahead to light my way

And from above, beneath, and all ways

O Christ, surround me, O Christ, surround me

Christ in the eyes of all who see me

Christ in the ears that hear my voice

Christ in the hearts of all who know me

O Christ, surround me, O Christ, surround me

PS Today is the birthday of Thomas Hardy (1840-1928), an author born in England from whom we get this bit of wisdom I should like to see applied to U.S. foreign policy immediately: "Do not do an immoral thing for moral reasons!"
